Born as the consequence to explore new sonic possibilities, Studio Effects, Pedals or Rack Units are usually childs of their time depending on the desire of specific manufacturer and the available parts during the time they was produced.

The first experiments in this area where done in the late 1940s by Musique Concrete pioneers who used tape loops to achieve delays effects. Very soon, engineers and musicians adopted this technique and created the first devices based on tapes. In the seventies Solid State Delay units became available and from there the mass production of pedal effects has started.

With the advance in technology, nowadays, a wide range of sonic possibilities are available, from analog to tubes or to digital and software-based boxes there is no stop to your imagination.
