Released in 1990, the R-8M was a 1-unit rackmount version of Roland's R-8 drum machine. It didn't have a sequencer but it had the R-8 sounds and the ability to play R-8 expansion sound cards.
There were also 8 individual outputs, 12 polyphonic voices and 4 multitimbral MIDI parts.
